- Parent and Community Code of Conduct
- Homework Policy
- Student Dress Code
- Sun Safety Policy
We have also updated other areas of our website and I encourage you to visit our school website regularly for updates.
We have also prepared all of our enrolment processes and look forward to receiving our first enrolments over the weekend and into next week.

Deputy Principal's Message - Ms Yager
Koala Joeys
This week marked the commencement of our Koala Joeys Pre-Prep program. Together, the children, their parents, Mrs Smith and I danced, sang, played musical instruments and got crafty by creating amazing Australian animal masks and macaroni necklaces. We had so much fun developing our listening, sharing and social skills.
We still have limited spaces available so check your emails and reply to our invite if you would like your child to participate over the next four weeks.
A Koala Joeys invitation was sent to all families on our EOI list who currently reside in our school catchment and may be in your spam/junk folder. If you are interested in your child joining our Koala Joeys and you currently reside in our school catchment, please complete your official enrolment form but also send an email to register for Koala Joeys via email Principal@newprimaryschoolripley.eq.edu.au
Ripley Valley State Secondary College Awards
On Wednesday, Mrs Meyrick and I joined Ripley Valley State Secondary College in support of their Awards Evening. I was in awe of the magical performances by the Secondary Dance Crew as they swung around the stage in their vibrant skirts to a perfect selection from Hairspray the musical. The Stage Band performed their rendition of Mac the Knife and had the audience bopping their heads to the beat. The calibre of awards and the professionalism of the event was unrivalled. We look forward to our ongoing partnership in years to come.
Ms Petra Yager | Foundation Deputy Principal
Deputy Principal's Message - Ms Swadling
Extra-Curricular Activities
Our school will offer many extra-curricular activities for our students to participate in. We understand that experiences and opportunities within and outside the classroom are what helps to build a dynamic school culture. We are already planning a range of clubs, teams and events that our students will be invited to join or participate in. Our staff have identified some of their passions, interests and skills that we may be able to offer, however, we also acknowledge that further learning and training on our behalf may be needed to provide further opportunities for our students’ passions and interests. We have updated our website to share some of our planning in this space. https://newprimaryschoolripley.eq.edu.au/extra-curricular
Making Connections
We visited Little Birds Early Learning Centre this week to meet some of the Kindy children going to Primary School next year. We talked about going to school, sung some songs and read a story. Thankyou to the wonderful and welcoming staff and children at Little Birds, we enjoyed connecting with you all.
Ms Fiona Swadling | Foundation Deputy Principal
Business Manager's Message - Mrs Van Der Zee
Tuckshop Tender
The tender for the Tuckshop services provider for Ripley Central State School has now closed. We are currently conducting the evaluation process of applicants and hope to have an outcome of who will be operating our amazing Tuckshop very soon.
Staffing
We are currently conducting the recruitment process for our Ripley Central Cleaning Staff. The first step is to review applicants already working within the Department who are requesting to transfer. This process is currently underway. I am excited to speak with those applying for what will be one of the most valued roles in our school.
QKR App
To ensure the process of payments for our families is as simple as possible, we will be implementing the QKR App. This will be one of our online payment options. It is user friendly and convenient. Please see the below details of how to download the QKR App.
Mrs Danielle Van Der Zee | Foundation Business Manager
Koala Joeys
Our 'Koala Joeys' groups for Tuesday and Thursday next week (week beginning 24th October) will have a dinosaur theme. If your child has a favourite dinosaur toy (small) they are welcome to bring it.
The week after (week beginning 31st October) will be aligned to Outdoor Classroom Day and children may get messy. Old clothes may be the best option for these sessions.
Public Meeting to form a P&C
All future parents and community members are invited to our upcoming Public Meeting where the only agenda item is to form a P&C. At this meeting the attendees confirm their intention to support the school operating a P&C and then the election of interim executives is undertaken. The date and time of the first P&C meeting is then set. There will be information available for parents and community members to learn more about each of the executive roles and what their responsibilities are.
Interested in nominating for one of our executive positions?
Learn more about each role here and attend the Public Meeting for more information.

The Koala Kitchen
Our Koala Kitchen will open in Term 2 and will house our own Master Chef kitchen and Bake House for the production of our specially branded sugar cookies and student cooking classes. We will work with our student bakers to create a small business model to bake and sell sugar cookies, with a special option to purchase a class set of sugar cookies for your child’s class birthday celebrations. We will also look for opportunities for our little Master Chefs to have cooking classes alongside chefs and produce their own cooking vlogs with recipe ideas. We cannot wait for this opportunity for our students and look forward to it's grand opening.
